A blog — just when I think that my day is not full enough, yes, I had to embark onto another hobby destined to occupy another spot in my constantly expanding to-do list. But ever since I noticed that my life’s interesting moments have centered into one common denominator — food, I knew I had to do more than post pictures upon pictures of my meals in my Facebook page.
“So, are you posting recipes on your blog?”, a well-meaning friend asks. I love preparing meals. At one point, I even accepted orders for my pastries. But life happened and I found myself unable to find time to be inventive enough in the kitchen. But that never deterred me from seeking the best food I could find at any given place and time. To answer her question, I may or may not post recipes. And if I do, it may not be necessarily my personal one but rest assured it would be a recipe of something that I have considered among its peers, as the “best”.
I love to travel. I have been to 35 countries and 139 cities. In each of those places I have embarked on food adventures, from amazing to tragic (two bouts of food poisoning in one week is very tragic). Food has always played a big role in culture. While most travelers scour museums to discover the richness of a city’s heritage, I scour its restaurant scene and let its dishes do the talking.
So friends, pick up your forks (or chopsticks) and come with me and taste the world!
